PREFERRED FILE FORMATS:
Our many years of experience have taught us that certain file formats allow no change from your submitted file to the printed card. To speed up our printing process and reduce costly pre-press time our printing prices are quoted from the following file formats:

Full Bleed* CMYK JPEGs
Full Bleed* CMYK Tiffs with no layers, channels or paths
Full Bleed* CMYK Flattened PSD files with no layers, channels or paths
Full Bleed* Flattened CMYK EPS files with fonts converted to outlines

*BLEED - add /16" to everything with no cropmarks. File size must be exact as below
3.5 x 2" Business Cards with bleed is 3.625 x 2.125" ; 4x6 Postcards (4.125 x 6.125),
5x7 Postcards (5.125 x 7.125) and 4x9 Postcards (4.125 x 9.125)
All type set should be 1/8" in from final trim size so it won't get cut off.

We recommend that you save your working files with temp at the end of the file name. Afterwards, professional Designers and Printers prefer to convert the files to one of the above formats and THEN send their final proof to their customer for approval. This ensures that what the customer sees is what will print. Converting the file yourself to an acceptable format not only saves you a $15 pre-press charge but also saves you costly reprint charges or discounts to your customer when the card doesn’t turn out like the customer approved.

ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS WITH A $15 PRE-PRESS CHARGE:

Quark files
Illustrator files
InDesign files
CorelDraw files
PDF’s.

If our pre-press operators cannot correct your file you will be notified of the corrections you need to make.

PROOFS:
Files submitted in our preferred file formats do not require a pdf proof. We ensure that these cards will print like the file you submit. You may request a low resolution pdf proof costing $5 even when submitting files in our preferred file formats. If you are submitting a file in another format, we do not accept responsibility for the changes we need to make to your file and recommend that you purchase a low resolution pdf proof which is $5. The proof needs to be approved Monday by 2pm for Thursday shipping. If a PDF is requested, we will NOT print until approval is received. Late submission of your approval may delay your delivery.
